POW WOW Drumming

Sunday May 27th 2012 in Elewijt. This workshop offers you the opportunity to feel the deeply penetrating vibrations of the 'indian' pow wow drum. When shouting, "Ride the horse", the native American starts playing the pow wow drum to experience the repetitive rhythm of the hoof beating of the horse. The horse accompanies the drummer in the spiritual world of the ancestors. Drummers are also called singers, because the drumming goes with singing. These songs can be traditional, but also improvised and well-up from the 'inner guts' to be expressed together with the pow wow beat. If you feel attracted to the drumming and/or to the singing, please register now. The pow wow drum allows for 10 drummers, thus 9 places are available. No preliminary knowledge is required, only an eagerness to play the pow wow drum and to let the hoofs of the spirit horse resonate. Pow Wow drumming on Sunday, May 27th 2012 -

How to Play the Didge?

Saturday July 28th 2012 in Vilvoorde. Learn the basics of playing the didgeridoo in all its aspects and experience the magic and exoticism of its (super)natural sounds and vibrations. A course on how to play the didgeridoo, the famous instrument of the Australian Aboriginals. Includes every basic aspect of didgeridoo playing such as the typical circular breathing technique.
